Title: How Long Is A Sunbeam?
Post by: chezet on December 14, 2024, 11:30:33 PM
I am starting to look for a new trailer.  If such a thing exists, I would ideally like a covered-in box trailer that would take two bikes, with as low a floor as possible and a ramp.  An immediate issue is length and width.  Could some kind person please put a tape measure over a typical 1920s Sunbeam (mine is a 1925 Model 6, but it's in bits at present) and let me know the overall length and width?

my 1929 Norton measured 2.1m but fit in a VW caddy at an angle my 1927 Sunbeam measures the same 2.1m.......buy yourself a Motolug trailer you can buy a double or a single the beauty of these is that they're collapsible so you can stick it out of the way on a shelf in the garage or stick it in the boot of your car by the way they're not covered.....just buy yourself a couple of bike covers......anyway see here ..... https://motolug.com/

Hi, thanks.  2.1m, that's basically seven feet.  So I would need an 8ft trailer.
