Title: positive or negative earth?
Post by: billhaworth@aol.com on March 03, 2025, 01:27:30 PM
Should I wire a 1935/5 Model 9 with positive or negative earth?
am gointg to use a voltage regulator, probably electronic, and convert the three brush dynamo I have to two brush.
I haven't found a wiring diagram for 1930's bikes with voltageb regulator, just the one for three brush dynamos

Hi Bill
In my opinion it makes no difference so long as the dynamo and regulator work in the same polarity, it is then only a matter of  matching the battery polarity.
Negative earth seems to be the most common though ,which is the way I've wired my bikes.
