Well, I suppose the majority of all museum machines are already not club registered. I also suppose that not every owner is in the club at all. But above that, the old clunkers experienced a war and increasing society wealth where many were not interested in motorcycles but bought a car. So, away with them! The value of our Sunbeams after WWII were far below the today level. So, it might well be that so many are lost. That makes them so valuable for us.

ah right still quite rare though.....wonder how many are actually left then we know of 30 registered to the club where are the other 720 surely 690 can't have been scrapped

Sorry, the 50,000 is the total number for ALL models through the whole production run from 1912 to 1940. The total number of 1927 M9s produced by JML is approximately 750.

blimey that's quite a lot so 30 out of 50,000 I guess that makes them quite rare then and I'm fortunate enough to be the custodian of one of them....I can tell you that makes me happy.....cheers Paul

A rough estimate, based on frame and engine numbers, is approximately 50,000. This includes the AMC production to 1940.

I'm just curious to know how many have actually survived.....according to the Clubs matrix there are 30 1927 model 9 Sunbeams on the register I understand that these are only the club registered ones but how many were actually made and how many are left including ones not registered anyone got an educated guess
