Dear Forum Members

I am trying to locate two Sunbeams that used to belong to my late father (Raymond 'Ray' Albert Jackson 1926 – 2006).

1.   1926 350 Sunbeam 350 Model 8 "parallel". (Registration CD 4973).
2.   350 model 10 sprint. (Registration unknown).

Ray is still fondly remembered by some of the older club members and was well known in the Sunbeam family in the 1970's early 1980s

I am very keen to establish the whereabouts of CD4973 (currently SORN on DVLA website) as it was a special bike to my family, one I know my father regretted selling, but sadly he had to due to financial difficulties.

My father also owned a 350 model 10 sprint that he acquired in 1969 and restored. My late brother (Paul Jackson) rode the model 10 to the TT with my dad on a Norton in 1972. Paul was sadly killed in a motorcycle accident in 1974, after which my brother Mark Jackson raced the model 10 sprint at various events in the UK for a few years. I believe it left our family sometime in the early 1990's. Again, a special bike with lots of memories.

I think my father acquired CD4973 sometime in the mid 70's, restored it somewhat and then registered it in 1979, in 79/80 my brother Mark rode it to the TT as a bit of a pilgrimage to his older brother Paul. Sadly, mark lost his life racing on the Isle of at the Manx Grand Prix in 1991.

I would be very keen to find out more about any of these two Sunbeams and their whereabouts. I do already know a fair bit of information (the club MSC&R registrar has helped me as much as he can and has provided me with some amazing information) but more information is always worthwhile.

Please feel free to PM's me, or happy to exchange phone numbers or email details if appropriate.

Thanks for your time.

Respectfully

John Jackson
