That's an important hine, Hennie. Thanks a lot! I just checked the breather hole but it's free. I need to check that with another ride.

Hello Tomas;

Perhaps the tankcap breather whole is blocked. When you stop the vacuum that prevents fuel to the carburettor is becomming les and the fuel flows again and the motor starts ..

A freind of mine had smilar problems en the cure was the breather whole

Thanks, Russ! I had taken the carb apart at the roadside and checked the jet. Everything looked good, but there was still another misfire. I will give it another complete clean.

sounds like a bit of crud in the carb that eventually / luckily cleared itself get yourself an ultrasonic cleaner they're reasonably cheap pop the carb off take it apart and pop it in the sonic cleaner....I'd also give the points a clean too with a bit of fine emery and wipe

Yesterday I had a strange experience with my machine. At some point during a ride, the engine suddenly stopped as if there was no spark. After about a minute I was able to start the engine again and off I went. After a few kilometres, exactly the same thing happened. This was repeated a few times. Temporary misfiring occurred when travelling downhill (the exhaust was banging). But at some point this no longer occurred and I was able to drive home normally. It entirely disappeared. The spark has a nice brown colour and I dismantles the carb but found no jet blocking particles. Has anyone ever experienced anything like this?
