The basket has been machined plain. They are intended to have bonded linings, or they can be machined to accept corks if members wish. The spares team can supply contact details for contractors who can apply the bonded linings, and also of companies to do machining and corking, although modern bonded linings are the way to go.
The bronze bearing will require fitting with Loctite before use.
It is practical to mix the bonded lined basket with standard corked plates but we expect shortly to stock plain clutch plates that can be fitted with bonded linings
