First of all a big THANK YOU to you all for making the day not only a success but truly a’ grand day out’ with a lot of laughs and proudly waving the Sunbeam flag – you did us all proud and the Club really was well represented by you all.

6 machines on the stand, 4 ridden around the arena, national and club treasure Archie Beggs ‘on point’ all day at 95 years old this year (for me the whole day was made worthwhile to see the smile on his face when we all pounced on the Veteran when he asked Chris Fisher to take it round the ring and got her started). I can’t believe none of us had a petrol can or a 5/16” Whit spanner to open the fuel line on Peter Crutchleys 1929 Model 9 (the ex Ted Meakin bike no less) and steal his petrol to get her going! But you did anyway.. Sunbeam owners really are a breed apart. Thanks Pete and are you sure it was petrol as it was very yellow…
